HELLO HELIOS
GREEKTOWN SSA #16
I was excited to work with Greektown Chicago again on their 2021 street art project “Hello Helios”. The sculptures were on display in Greektown along Halsted Street between Madison and Van Buren.
I chose to focus on the multiple ways the sun inspires people’s imaginations, culture, and ideas. Whether that be through scientific exploration, the countless cultures that personify the sun in their mythology, tradition, and religion; or in children's drawings where a smiling yellow sun is a constant character.
